About It

Munirah bint Mohammed Al-Malham Women’s Library

This library was established, furnished, and is operated using funds bequeathed by Munirah bint Mohammed Al-Malham—may Allah have mercy on her—the wife of Prince Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Sudairy—may Allah have mercy on him. The library covers an area of five hundred square meters (500 m²).

The library includes a reading hall containing references and books from various fields of knowledge, linked through a unified catalog with the Prince Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Sudairy Library. This system enables female visitors to access any book available in either library. In addition, the library provides private reading units and an internet corner.

Special attention has been given to children by establishing a dedicated children’s corner equipped with appropriate furniture, books, and audio-visual materials. The library is connected via a closed-circuit television system to the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Lecture Hall.

The library was officially inaugurated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz—may Allah protect him—on 8/3/1427 AH, corresponding to 6/4/2006 AD, when he was the Governor of the Riyadh Region.
